Downtown Saline...
A charming small town of approximately 10,000, Saline is
situated just 10 minutes south of Ann Arbor and 45 minutes west
of Detroit, Michigan. Saline was founded by Orange Risdon
in 1823, incorporated as a city in 1931, and has enjoyed steady
growth as an active community for more than 160 years.
Saline also boasts an excellent school system and dynamic
elected and employed city staff. But Saline's greatest
asset is the wonderful people who choose to live here, work her
and play here. Just spend a day with us and you'll see why
being in Saline is like going home. |

Keep Saline Glowing!
The SDMA is leading a campaign to raise the funds necessary to
replace the twinkle lights in the Downtown trees. The old
lights, needing much repair, were removed this past Spring to
allow for tree trimming. Now it's time to get them glowing
again!
This is a great opportunity for anyone to sponsor a tree
or part of a tree.
Tree lighting costs range from about $75 to $1800, depending on
the size of the tree.
Wouldn't a smaller tree make a unique holiday gift?
Or go in on a big tree with several other families. We'll even
put a special marker on your tree!
In addition, many of our Downtown merchants have placed green canisters on their counters
- Just drop in your spare
change (or more) and help the cause!
BTW: Did we mention your contribution just may be
tax-deductible?
