Holiday Lights Celebration of Lights - November 30 - 5-7pm
N. Ann Arbor Street at the Four Corners (KeyBank)
Join us as we celebrate the lighting of the big Christmas Tree decorated for the 10th year by Back to Basics Montessori and the fantastic culmination of our Keep Saline Glowing campaign that put new LED lights in all of the trees lining our Downtown Streets!  A short ceremony will be followed by a "warmer" at the Back Door Cafe with hot cocoa, treats and join-in caroling!

Boo Bash Downtown Boo Bash - Friday, October 31 - 5 to 8pm

The streets were crowded with witches, Power Rangers, princesses and firemen at our first Halloween street party downtown.  It was an old-fashioned tricks & treats celebration complete with games, music and a lot of kid-friendly spooky fun!  [flyer]
HOA Harvest of the Arts Oktoberfest - Saturday, September 27
North & South Ann Arbor Streets, Downtown.
The 4th year of this very popular juried art fair, now accompanied by a traditional Oktoberfest was a tremendous success!  The list of activities included:  Firefighter's Chili Cook-Off with SAHS Culinary Arts Students, Historical Walking Tours, Children's Activities with the Scrapbox, Inspiration Station with the 212 Arts Center, Farmers Market, Music from the Luther Schaible German Band and regional performer Justine Blazer and, of course, Bier Garten (and wine from Spotted Dog!).  www.salinehoa.net
Summer Music 2008

Summer Music Series - June 13 thru August 15
A whole summer full of great music and dancing, fine dining, unique shopping and lots of fun in Downtown Saline!  Sponsored by the City of Saline, the Saline Downtown Merchants Association, the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce and Audio Encounters, each night provided local and regional music right on the street.  [Event Photos & Band List]

Second Date Art Show The Second Date Art Show - August 15
Every great One Night Stand deserves a Second Date!  Over 300 people enjoyed the wonderful creations of 40 local area artists at this second night of art, wine and music.  Thanks to the generosity of Phoenix Properties and Bill Kinley, this show was held on the second floor of the Murphy's Crossing building (above Mac's restaurant).  John Olsen at Spotted Dog Winery provided free wine samples again and Topazz (Becky & Paul Pazkowski) entertained with free music.

Summerfest Saline Summerfest - August 8 & 9
Saline's hometown party in Downtown Saline!  This lively event had something for everyone including the Arts & Craft Show sponsored by the SDMA.

One Night Stand Art Show One Night Stand Art Show - June 27
A night full of eclectic art, local wine and drop-in music!  More than 20 area artists displayed and sold their works in a fun, casual environment.  Topazz hosted an acoustic jam with other local talents and Spotted Dog Winery provided free samples of delicious local wine. Located in the historic Merchants Square Building in NE Downtown Saline, this special show was hosted by artists from the 212 Arts Center and volunteers from the Saline Downtown Merchants Association and the community.

Sportscars

Sportscars to Saline Car Show - June 22
This year the 3rd annual Sportscars to Saline Car Show once again attracted car enthusiasts and admirers with a variety domestic and foreign sportscars.  This colorful event was staged on the streets of historic Downtown Saline and, despite lower attendance and an afternoon rain, enthusiasm was high and everyone enjoyed the gleaming chrome, polished paint and open hoods.
