SDMA is growing...
In 2004, a few concerned
business owners gathered together to talk about improving the
business climate in Downtown Saline. Today, there are many more
business and property owners gathered around the table but the
goal remains the same. The Saline Downtown Merchants
Association (SDMA) has incorporated this year to pursue that
goal and grow as a strong organization of businesses actively
impacting the overall success of Downtown Saline.
The SDMA currently meets twice a month to plan events and
activities, share critical business and city information, create
promotion and marketing strategies, provide business-to-business
support and guidance, and develop new ideas for enhancing the
economic vitality of Downtown Saline.
The Board of Directors is elected from and by the membership in
good standing in January and serves for one year. In
addition to the Board positions, there are many opportunities to
participate in the SDMA as committee chairs, committee members,
and event volunteers.

SDMA Mission...
The Saline Downtown Merchants
Association is a non-profit organization comprised of downtown
merchants and commercial property owners working together to:

Promote consumer awareness of
businesses in downtown area;

Promote and cultivate a
culture of shopping and dining in the downtown area;

Promote and develop activities
and events to stimulate interest in the downtown area;
-
Grow and develop the overall
business climate in downtown through implementation of these
activities.
